Sen. Reed Visits Providence Public Library
By admin | September 19, 2014
Senator Jack Reed visited the Providence Public Library on Sept. 19 to learn more about several IMLS funded grants at PPL. In April, OLIS awarded a LORI grant to the RI Family Literacy Initiative for Computer Literacy for Non-Native English Speaking Adults. PPL is also in the midst of its ALLACCESS project, funded by an IMLS grant. ALLACCESS (Adult Lifelong Learning Access), a partnership with Cranston Public Library and TechACCESS of RI, seeks to improve the literacy and workforce skills of adult library patrons.
