No longer the “shushing librarians”
By Donna DiMichele | March 23, 2017
Kickstarter Campaign for RI School Library Advocacy Video
The School Librarians of RI (SLRI) professional association wants to tell the world “we are no longer the “shushing librarians” of the past. We are doing amazing things in our school libraries!”
SLRI is creating a video to tell people what school librarians do in today’s libraries. “It’s on us: The Stories of Public School Librarians” will be funded through a Kickstarter campaign.
You can take action by making a pledge to the SLRI Kickstarter campaign. The project will fund the production of a film that can be used as an effective tool to spread the word about how librarians are impacting students and communities to support 21st century learning.
Help SLRI spread the word. Post on FB, tweet and tell your colleagues and friends.

The campaign ends on April 24th.
