Sign the Declaration for the Right to Libraries
By karen | October 8, 2013
The American Library Association encourages all to sign the Declaration for the Right to Libraries, now available in an accessible version on the ilovelibraries.org website.
This campaign provides members of school, academic, public, and special library communities with the opportunity to stand up and publicly affirm their right and their will to have strong libraries. At the same time, the Declaration presents a valuable opportunity for librarians to leverage conversations with community members about the value that our libraries contribute to individuals, families, communities, and our nation.
