Citizenship Program Available for Libraries

By Donna DiMichele | January 28, 2014

The Rhode Island Citizenship Consortium, a group of five Rhode Island non-profit agencies that provides immigration and citizenship services, is proud to announce a new free workshop, “The US Citizenship Process.”  This one and a half hour presentation by an experienced Citizenship educator consists of a PowerPoint presentation that gives details on the process and tips to successfully prepare for the citizenship interview.  The program is designed for library patrons/the public. In the past three years, the Rhode Island Citizenship Consortium has helped over 510 adults become US citizens.

If you are interested in hosting this presentation at your library, please contact Karisa Tashjian, Director of RIFLI and Adult Literacy Services at the Providence Public Library, 401-455-8185, ktashjian@provlib.org.
